My name is Terri and I live in the beautiful Upper Peninsula of Michigan in a small town on the shores of Lake Superior. I am a mainly self-taught metal smith and I create one-of-a-kind pieces of wearable art. My father was a mechanic and I gained my love of tools from him. I spent hours with him learning how they worked and this—along with my creative drive—eventually led me into creating my jewelry.

It is my goal to create completely unique pieces and to accomplish this I use many found objects, as well as stones from the shores of Lake Superior. My jewelry also contains stones from around the world, brass, copper, sterling silver and fine silver. I hand cut all of my own pieces and hand-solder the components together. There are no glues or adhesives used in making my jewelry. I pride myself in my independent and unique personality. My personal style is reflected in my work and is inspired by elements of nature.

I create all of my pieces in my home studio. While away one weekend for an art expo, my wonderful husband surprised me upon arriving home with a fantastic new studio within—what was once a part of—the garage. He serves as a continued source of inspiration, along with encouragment for all realms of my life, including my creativity.
